About NewsClair
NewsClair is an independent editorial publication for readers in the United States. We cover technology, health, science, money, policy, climate, and consumer topics with one consistent goal: give readers enough context to make informed decisions.
Our mission
To produce clearly-written, well-sourced reporting that respects the reader's time. We prefer evidence over opinion, primary sources over summaries, and honesty about uncertainty over false confidence.
Who we write for
General audiences in the US who want a reliable starting point on complex topics — not specialists looking for industry trade press.
How content is created
NewsClair articles are researched and drafted with the assistance of generative AI tools and reviewed by the NewsClair editorial team for accuracy, sourcing, and clarity before publishing. We do not publish unreviewed AI output. Every factual claim with consequence is linked to a primary source — regulator publications, peer-reviewed research, manufacturer specifications, or official statistics — so readers can verify it directly.
Every article shows a Published date and, when applicable, a Last updated date. We update an article only when something materially changes — not on a fixed schedule. Articles are attributed to the NewsClair Editorial Team rather than to individual personas. See our Editorial Guidelines for the full process, including how we use AI and how we handle corrections.
What we do not do
This is an informational publication. We report on services and topics — we do not provide medical, legal, or financial services. We do not accept paid editorial placements. Any future affiliate relationships will be disclosed on the page and in our Editorial Guidelines.
